Architecture Painting & Photography 2020 Award Exhibition

Camelback Gallery organizes monthly themed international online juried art competitions, in various mediums to give all visual artists, both emerging and experienced, an opportunity to improve their presence through CamelbackGallery.com, gain online media and social media exposure at an international level, enhance their resumes and be a part of a growing community of award winning artists. Camelback Gallery works closely with major art media outlets to promote artists work including The Art Guide, Art Week, Art Base, and Artchain.Info. These media outlets combined have thousands of newsletter subscribers and over 40,000 site visitors monthly. The mission of Camelback Gallery is to get the artist "virtually" in front of art buyers, fellow artists and art lovers. Camelback Gallery receives 7000-8000 site visitors a month and has an established community of artists.

This month, I entered in the Architecture Painting & Photography 2020 Award Exhibition with my photo "1800s was a Kit". This photo was shot in Texas while I was on vacation visiting my in-laws. Kit houses were sold by Sears & Roebuck in the early 1900s through their catalogs. Read more about this here: Sears Kit Homes. There were a couple different photos I was deciding between but decided to go with this one. While it didn't win any specific awards, it was listed as a finalist. I am grateful it was considered as a finalist along with the beautiful photos that were chosen. But I'm not giving up. Looking forward to seeing what exhibitions they host next! Will definitely be entering in more soon!

      You read that right! For the Month of December (2021), I was chosen, along with six other artists, to be Camelback Gallery's Artist of the Month! I could not believe it! I was literally in tears when I read the email around 2:30 this morning. I honestly thought I lost since I didn't hear from them. But lo and behold, when I checked the monthly announcement email, I saw my name listed as Artist of the Month!     Camelback Gallery is an International Online Gallery that promotes artists' work by hosting online competitions, exhibitions, and featured artist residencies. They were founded in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2017, having upwards of 40,000+ site visitors a month. Creative Light Magazine

 I'm a bit delayed in posting this wonderful news, but it's been crazy. I got the most wonderful Christmas present this year. I was published in Creative Light Magazine, Issue # 39, 2020! The topic was Striking Still Life Challenge through Guru Shots. Bishop Castle

We took a trip recently to Kansas which afforded me the opportunity to photograph some other areas I haven't been to. I was looking forward to photographing one spot in particular: Bishop Castle. Bishop Castle is located in Rye Colorado, about 40 miles southwest of Pueblo. The owner and building, Jim Bishop, has been working on this beautiful creation for over 60 years.
